The Danville Area Community College Men's Basketball Team returned home
Wednesday night to face Conference opponent Shawnee Community College
and we unable to pull out the victory, falling to the Saint 94-88.
DACC would come out strong and take an early 7-2 lead. However, SCC
would battle back and take a 14-13 lead and the two teams would go into
half time tied 37-37.
To begin the second half, Shawnee would go on a 5-0 run to take a 42-37
lead. Shawnee's lead would swell to 12 points before the Jaguars would
mount a huge comeback. DACC would take a 5 point lead at 82-77 with
just over 5 minutes remaining.
However, DACC would make costly turnovers on 4 straight possessions and
Shawnee would hold onto the victory.
DACC was lead by Tim Toler with 24 points and 15 rebounds. David Smith
and Derwin Gage had 17 points each, while Q Townsend added 10 points.
Freshman Kyle Bradley had his best game as a Jaguar with 8 points, 7
assists and 1 turnover.
DACC was just 19-30 from the free throw line and committed 18 turnovers.
